The rain was pouring down upon the team’s arrival in Guangzhou, but fortunately stopped right before the match started. The turf looked exceptionally green under the lingering raindrops, adding a special touch to the game.

The team paid a respectful visit to Guangzhou Evergrande Football Club's hall of honour prior to the match. As the door was pushed open, it felt as if they had travelled through a time tunnel into a glorious history of football. The walls were adorned with trophies and medals, each representing the brilliant journey of the club. The children were deeply inspired by these accolades and their eyes shone with passion for football and hope for the future. Standing there, they could all feel the historical glory from this great Chinese football club.

The match began with both teams displaying incredible skills and teamwork. Despite being outperformed by former professionals, the Wellington College Hangzhou Community Football Team remained undaunted and displayed their utmost effort. It was heartwarming to have the children and mothers watching and cheering on the fathers. After a competitive match, the friendly game ended harmoniously and joyfully.
