Highlights from the Winter Fair

02 Dec 2020

What an amazing festive evening we had on Sunday 29 November. The Wellington community in Hangzhou School were joined by guests from the Hangzhou German Chamber to a celebrate the Winter Fair together. The festive season began with the official Christmas tree lighting outside the main building accompanied by Wellington College International Hangzhou pupils singing some beautiful Christmas carols.

As the carol singing stopped it started to snow and Father Christmas arrived at Wellington College International Hangzhou with one of his reindeers! The Wellington community were amazed at the magic around the College. The children may not be able to visit their home countries this Christmas, but Father Christmas came to visit them on this very special evening.

We would like to thank the Friends of Wellington, our food and beverage vendors and Christmas craft stall holders for supporting our event. We hope to see you all again next year. Although we are at our home away from home, we are not alone for Christmas this year.
