Wellington College International Hangzhou warmly invites you to our first Open Day of the 2025/26 academic year on 6 December.

Wellington College International Hangzhou upholds the philosophy of "pioneering education to serve and help shape a better world." The school focuses on providing high-quality international education for expatriate pupils aged 5 to 18. 

At the primary level, the curriculum is based on the British National Curriculum and incorporates the International Primary Curriculum (IPC). Upon entering senior school, pupils gradually transition to the IGCSE and A Level programmes to ensure a smooth progression into international higher education.

As the only international school in Hangzhou accredited by both the Council of British International Schools (COBIS) and the Federation of British International Schools in Asia (FOBISIA), Wellington College International Hangzhou has earned trust and acclaim through consistently outstanding academic performance.

In the 2025 Forbes China International School Rankings, Wellington College International Hangzhou was ranked first among primary and senior schools in Hangzhou, highlighting its leading position and comprehensive strength in international education. This achievement not only represents authoritative recognition of Wellington's educational quality but also exemplifies our unwavering pursuit of excellence.

The Class of 2025 once again demonstrated the depth and quality of a Wellington education, with 77% of pupils being admitted to universities ranked within the top 20 of the QS World University Rankings and 85% to institutions in the global top 50. A total of RMB 3 million in scholarships was awarded. Prestigious institutions such as University College London, the University of California, Los Angeles, the University of Hong Kong, the University of Sydney, and King's College London extended offers to our pupils.

In the 2025 IGCSE examinations, Wellington College International Hangzhou pupils achieved remarkable results, with 35.4% of grades at A* and 61.2% at A*/A—well above the average for pupils in the UK. 

Our pupils have also received international accolades, including the 'Top in the World' and 'Top in China' awards across multiple subjects, further enhancing the school's academic distinction.

As a key member of Wellington College Education (China) - Hangzhou, Wellington College International Hangzhou boasts an experienced and internationally-minded team of teachers. With an average teaching experience of over ten years, our educators combine deep professional expertise with a genuine passion for teaching in every lesson.

Over 63% of Chinese teachers hold postgraduate degrees, more than half have overseas study experience, and over 70% of foreign teachers come from the UK, bringing an authentic British educational environment.
