Engaging Parents: A Day of Insights and Connections

Recently, we were delighted to host the Parents' Open Day and Coffee Morning, providing families with the opportunity to visit classrooms and meet with teaching staff. Parents were able to view pupils' work and experience the school's learning environment firsthand.
Parents also met with the school's Senior Management Team for coffee. This allowed them to share ideas, ask questions and contribute suggestions for future school initiatives. We are always grateful for such exchanges, as they strengthen the partnership between home and school and help ensure the best possible outcomes for our pupils.
The highlight of the morning was a performance of Hardinge House's winning entry from our recent House Singing Competition. The competition, held two weeks ago, saw all five of our houses take to the stage to perform songs that linked to our school values. The pupils worked together on harmonies, choreography and stage presence, and all the pupils performed very well, with Hardinge just beating their competitors!
This week, we launched our House Art Competition themed ‘Changemakers and Change’, where the children had the opportunity to showcase their creativity, imagination and artistic skills, while also supporting Heart 2 Heart Shanghai, a special fund under the Ren De Foundation. Heart 2 Heart provides life-saving heart surgeries for children in need across China, helping families who cannot afford critical medical care.
Events like these remind us of the vital role parents play in supporting the life of the school and shaping the experiences of our pupils. We look forward to building on this strong community spirit as we work together towards a bright and inspiring future for all our children.
