Our Pupils Shine Again at the Global Chinese Writing Competition

Warm congratulations to our Wellington College International Hangzhou pupils on achieving outstanding success once again in the 4th Global Chinese Writing Competition for Young Writers! Across the five competition categories in both the global and the Chinese Mainland divisions, 18 of our pupils from Years 5 to 10 distinguished themselves with their solid language skills, sharp perspectives and unique writing talents, earning remarkable results. Notably, our school was also awarded the ‘Outstanding Organisation Award’ by the competition committee in recognition of our excellent organisation and guidance. 

This achievement not only recognises the diligence and commitment of our pupils but also provides strong affirmation of our long-standing approach to writing instruction and academic development. Pupils at Wellington College International Hangzhou have taken part in this global event year after year, delivering outstanding performances in the 2023 and 2024 competitions. Their renewed success in this year's contest further demonstrates our school’s sustained strength in Chinese writing and cross-cultural expression. 

We would like to extend our special thanks to the Chinese Department for their tireless efforts. With professional and systematic teaching design, the department has long helped pupils to build a strong linguistic foundation and to enhance their critical thinking and expressive abilities. Looking ahead, Wellington College International Hangzhou will continue to encourage pupils to present themselves on the international stage, to speak out with courage, to innovate with confidence and to write their own remarkable stories.
