Academic Scholarships
A Wellington Scholarship is awarded for excellence and high-level potential for a limited number of individuals. To be eligible for a Scholarship a pupil will be in years 10 to 13, although exceptional pupils from year 7 upwards will be considered. It constitutes a bespoke programme of study in addition to the normal curriculum, and either a 50% or 100% fee reduction for the right person. The Scholarship is for highly motivated and talented pupils. The ideal candidate should have a burning desire to continue their Scholarship area at university and beyond. They are expected to contribute fully to College life while leading in their disciplines.
It is reviewed annually when a continuation of the award will be decided.
Scholarships are offered in three distinct areas, Academics, Arts and Sports.
Academic Scholarships
An Academic Scholar will be expected to contribute to the intellectual life of the College and to perform at an academic level that is commensurate with their ability. The candidate for this award must demonstrate a high level of academic achievement, an interest in progressing to a top-ranked university, a diligent work ethic, proven interest in research and writing and a desire to inspire others.

Acompleted Scholarship application form and application essay

Academicrecords from schools showing clear excellence in a number of subjects

CAT4(or other benchmarking testing) results
5
An essay on the topic of your choice (properly referenced) and with a minimum word count of 1000 words

Interview
How to apply
A preliminary review of the application will be conducted by the relevant department. Selected candidates will be invited to an assessment day, audition or trial and a panel interview.
