Under the golden hues of a sunlit afternoon, Wellington College International Hangzhou recently hosted its annual Community BBQ, a vibrant celebration of unity, achievement and philanthropy. At the heart of the festivities was the recognition of our Houses' remarkable achievements in this year's charity fundraising initiatives so far. Through creative campaigns our Houses collectively raised an impressive sum, reinforcing Wellington's ethos of“being inclusive” and giving back. The funds will support local communities and contribute to global educational projects, aligning with our mission to nurture socially responsible leaders.

Honouring Pupil Success: 

Triumphs in Sport, Arts and Academics

The BBQ also shone a spotlight on individual pupil accomplishments. On the sports field and in the swimming pool, young athletes were celebrated for regional tournament victories and personal bests, embodying the Wellington spirit of resilience. In the Arts, budding musicians, actors and artists received accolades for their performances in school productions and international competitions. Academically, scholars were honoured for their exceptional achievements, including top exam results and innovative research projects. As the sun set on the BBQ, the Head of Primary, Mr Matthew Coleman addressed the crowd, emphasising,“Today, we've not only celebrated success but also reinforced the power of collective effort. This is what it means to be part of Wellington.”
