As the summer starts to wane, autumn approaches with the promise of a bountiful harvest. At the close of August, the quest for knowledge for the new academic year beckons as expected. With anticipation and delight, Wellington College Hangzhou is once again brimming with vitality and energy.

With boundless hope and anticipation for the future, we have welcomed every new member into the nurturing family of Wellington College Hangzhou with a grand Orientation Day celebration this week.

WE LOVE WCCH

On Orientation Day, the campus was enveloped in an atmosphere of warmth and excitement as pupils and parents stepped onto the grounds of Wellington College Hangzhou. The senior leadership team delivered warm speeches that allowed the pupils to learn about our vision and expectations. Pupils then engaged with their teachers and peers and explored every corner of the campus, laying a solid foundation for the new academic year's journey.

We are also proud to introduce the ‘Friendly Travel with Kids’ blue eco-friendly canvas bag, a thoughtful welcome gift for every new family that becomes part of the Hiba/Wellington community.

With each canvas bag we distribute, we extend a helping hand to children in remote areas by providing them with two covered water buckets, each with a capacity of 20 litres. As parents and children use the canvas bag to protect the environment, it also ensures that these children's daily hydration needs are met as they collect clean water.

We have initiated the #WellingtonGOODWILLRELAY campaign across our social media platforms. For every parent who shares a photo or video featuring our blue eco-friendly canvas bag, we will contribute 10 RMB to UNICEF. These funds will directly support children in need globally, offering them a brighter future filled with warmth and hope.

From this week onwards, we have officially lifted the curtain on the fresh start of the 2024-2025 academic year.

This year marks the seventh year since the commencement of the Wellington College Hangzhou. With a promise and expectation for every pupil, we look forward to witnessing the remarkable achievement they will attain both academically and holistically.

We extend our heartfelt wishes to every pupil. May you encounter like-minded companions and forge precious friendships. May you extend your horizons through exploration and enrich your life through learning. May you become the best of yourselves through explorations and teamwork.
