Art Week is an exciting event that celebrates and showcases the visual arts across the school. Pupils, teachers, and parents come together to celebrate the power of creativity and self-expression. The week is filled with a range of events, including workshops, competitions, and collaborative projects, all of which provide opportunities for pupils to explore their artistic talents and connect with others who share their passion for the visual arts. Art Week is a wonderful way to highlight the importance of the arts in education and to encourage pupils to pursue their artistic interests and talents.

This year's theme revolves around Community, Connections and Collaboration. These three key elements highlight the importance of working together to create something truly special.

How do we work together in the art world? This is a question that Art Week seeks to answer. Whether by working in teams at school, with friends, or in the community, collaboration is an essential part of the artistic process. By working together, we can share our talents and skills, learn from one another, and create something that is greater than the sum of its parts.

Art-making workshops are a key part of Art Week, providing opportunities for pupils and parents to get involved in the creative activities that explore art through alternative processes and contexts. Throughout the week, pupils, parents, and teachers will be involved in creating large artworks in a collaborative setting where drawings and paintings build and interact with the works of others in the community. These workshops are a great way for pupils and families to work together while sharing their ideas and skills to create.

Another exciting event during Art Week are the House Art competitions. These competitions encourage pupils to work together in teams, creating unique and innovative pieces of art that showcase their creativity and collaboration skills. The winning house will be awarded a special prize, but all participants will have the satisfaction of knowing that they worked together with distinction.

This event is an opportunity for pupils to see the work of other artists, learn from their techniques, and connect with like-minded individuals.

The School -Wide Collaborative Artwork is a project that every pupil will be involved in during Art Week. This project will see pupils working together to create a piece of artwork that will become part of a large mural displayed in a Hangzhou art gallery. This project is the epitome of collaboration, bringing together pupils from across the school to create something truly special.
