Another year of excellent early university applications
As our pupils are enjoying their Chinese New Year break, we are delighted announce news of excellent offers for Wellington College China schools in the early rounds of university applications. Wellingtonians continue to achieve success in every possible field with outstanding offers from some of the most prestigious universities around the world. So far, our pupils have received offers from four out of the top-10 ranked institutions in both the UK and US (QS World Rankings 2023).
The decisions so far received have also come from some of the most traditionally competitive programmes around the world, including Chemistry, Mathematics, Economics, Sociology, Business management and Media studies. Successful decisions have also been received from some of the world's top arts schools and colleges.
The range of success achieved, from the traditional academic courses offered at Cambridge, Oxford, California Institute of Technology (Caltech) and Imperial College London to the more selective programmes offered by specialist institutions devoted to the Visual Arts such as University of the Arts London (UAL) is a fitting testament to Wellington College China's holistic education provision.
Offer from the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) earned Wellington College China its highest ranked U.S. admission ever. We are delighted that one of our pupils will study Chemistry at this prestigious institution.
The fact that our schools have been so successful in this difficult and disrupted year is a testament not only to the ability of our pupils but also the dedication and commitment of our Wellington College China staff. As well as having outstanding teachers, each school has a dedicated university guidance team which provides the vital service of helping each pupil research and prepare their applications over several years. Like every academic year, each pupil has had access to the type of expertise, advice, guidance and support that make all the difference when applying to elite universities.
With many decisions still to come from the regular round of applications in the US and UK as well as from destinations such as those in Europe, Canada, Singapore and Australia, it is already set to be an incredibly successful year.
