Wellington community celebrate their new school opening
On Saturday, 23 October 2021, Wellington College International Hangzhou held its official opening ceremony of the state-of-the-art building.
Mrs. Joy Qiao, Founder and Chairman of Wellington College China; Mr. Xun Xu, Vice President of Transfar Group and Member of the Transfar Group Board; Helen Kavanagh, CEO of Wellington College China; Kathryn Richardson, Master of Wellington College Hangzhou were invited to cut the ribbon and inaugurate the new building.
Kathryn Richardson, Master of Wellington College Hangzhou, passed the banner of thanks from the school to Mrs. Tao Chen, President of Transfar Innovation Polis Company, in appreciation of the new state-of-the-art building.
Pupils, parents and staff were all invited to this grand occasion. Wellington Choir, our three excellent music scholars (Cheryl, Ellie and Isabella), and our professional and talented music teacher Craig Perkinton presented wonderful performances throughout the afternoon of celebrations.

Often, I walk around our buildings, and I see love in all the details. Everything is serving the purpose of better learning, reflecting a pupil centred approach to education. I have no doubt that these new facilities and our excellent academic team will ensure pupils thrive and excel in their educational journey with us.
