Last Friday afternoon, Wellington College International Hangzhou hosted its annual Community BBQ—a warm and festive gathering that brought together pupils, staff, and parents. It is one of the most eagerly anticipated community events on the school calendar. As the sun cast its golden glow across the campus, everyone sat together, with the aroma of barbecued food mingling with laughter and conversation, filling the air with warmth and a strong sense of community.

Amid this lively and heartfelt atmosphere, we also held the award ceremony for the Junior Duke Award and the Vlog competition. The pupils' effort, creativity, and perseverance were recognised by the entire school community and their parents. Each award celebrated their courage to explore and their active participation.

The BBQ was not merely a feast for the senses; it was a vivid reflection of the Wellington community spirit. It reminded us that a community is more than just a physical space—it is a bond of emotions, a shared sense of responsibility, and a feeling of belonging. Here, every interaction and word of encouragement embodies the strength of our community; every small act of contribution comes together to form a warm and powerful force, allowing everyone to feel their unique value and importance within this extended Wellington family.
