
As the New Year begins, Wellington College Education (China) – Hangzhou is delighted to share further good news, as the progression outcomes of our graduates continue to rise, with overall performance remaining outstanding.
As of 6 February, the Class of 2026 graduates have received a total of 138 offers from overseas universities. Among them, 60% of pupils secured offers from QS World Top 20 universities during the early application stage, while 73% have been admitted to QS World Top 50 institutions. In addition, pupils have collectively been awarded scholarships totalling RMB 3.4 million, fully demonstrating their strong academic foundations and well-rounded competitiveness.
Notably, our Class of 2026 graduates have received nine offers from UK G5 universities, including one from Imperial College London (QS World Ranking No. 2) and eight from University College London (QS World Ranking No. 9). In the field of art and creativity, pupils have also secured three offers from the University of the Arts London, ranked No. 2 globally in the QS Art & Design ranking. At the same time, pupils have achieved strong outcomes across other major study destinations, including Australia, Canada, the United States and Hong Kong, China, highlighting the breadth of academic pathways and the diverse strengths of our graduates.

Strong Results Across the UK, Australia and Canada
Building on the UK top-tier outcomes highlighted earlier, the UK continues to be one of the strongest progression pathways for the Class of 2026. UK G5 universities are renowned for their rigorous academic standards and highly competitive admissions processes, with particularly demanding expectations in academic performance, subject alignment, intellectual potential and overall applicant profiles. Our pupils' success in this context reflects their strong academic foundations and well-defined academic aspirations.

Alongside the UK, pupils have also achieved excellent results in Australia and Canada. This year's graduates have received 14 offers from the University of Melbourne and 13 from the University of Sydney, while in Canada, 11 offers from the University of Toronto have been secured. All of these institutions are ranked within the QS World Top 30, highlighting our pupils' consistent competitiveness across leading global research universities.
A Targeted and Strategic Approach in Hong Kong, China
In Hong Kong, China, the Class of 2026 graduates achieved significant and highly competitive breakthroughs during the early application stage. Pupils successfully gained offers from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and City University of Hong Kong. These institutions are renowned for their rigorous admissions standards and intense competition, with particularly high expectations in academic performance, English proficiency, overall profile, and subject alignment.

Against the backdrop of a continually increasing global applicant pool, our pupils' success in standing out at the early application stage reflects their strong academic foundations and comprehensive development, while also underscoring the professionalism and forward-thinking nature of our university guidance programme for Hong Kong pathways.

Applications to the United States have also yielded excellent results. During the early application stage, graduates received offers from leading US universities, including the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, the University of Illinois Urbana–Champaign, and the University of Wisconsin–Madison. In addition, several pupils secured places at top liberal arts colleges such as the University of Richmond, Macalester College, and Union College, demonstrating clear strengths in academic depth, individual development, and overall personal qualities.
