As we step into the new year, we reflect on the incredible achievements of 2025 and look forward to another year of growth, learning and excitement at Wellington College International Hangzhou Primary School. Our holistic environment nurtures every child – academically, socially, emotionally and physically – ensuring they thrive in all aspects of their development.

Reflecting on 2025, Embracing 2026
Last year was filled with memorable moments – our pupils excelled in academics, sports and creative arts, while also deepening their commitment to sustainability and community.
As we welcome everyone back, we encourage our pupils to set personal targets for the year ahead. Goal setting is a powerful way for children to take ownership of their learning, fostering independence and resilience. Whether it is improving in maths, trying a new sport or making new friends, every new year's resolution is celebrated at Wellington College International Hangzhou.

House Spirit & Sporting Excellence
One of the highlights of our school year is the House system, where pupils compete in friendly yet spirited events. Last term, we saw thrilling House Football matches, and this semester promises even more excitement with House Handball, Swimming Galas and Sports Day!

These events are not just about winning – they teach teamwork, perseverance and healthy competition, all while strengthening our school community.
Sustainability & Outdoor Learning
At Wellington College International Hangzhou, we believe in caring for our planet. In November last year, we celebrated Outdoor Learning Day and attended an inspiring Gibbon Conservation Talk in Shanghai, which deepened our pupils' understanding of wildlife protection.

This year, we look forward to House Sustainability Week, during which pupils will engage in eco-friendly projects that reinforce our commitment to a greener future.

Nurturing Wellbeing: Our PSHE Programme & Collaborative Jigsaw Journals
At Wellington College International Hangzhou, we place wellbeing at the heart of education. Our PSHE (Personal, Social, Health and Economic) programme helps pupils develop emotional intelligence, resilience and healthy relationships. Through discussions, role-playing and reflective activities, children learn to navigate challenges with confidence and empathy.

A key part of our wellbeing approach is the Collaborative Jigsaw Journals, in which each class records its learning journey together. These journals are a beautiful way for pupils to reflect on their growth – documenting achievements, challenges and personal insights. By piecing together their experiences like a jigsaw, they see how every lesson, emotion and discovery connects to form a complete picture of their development.
Holistic Care: The Heart of Wellington Education
Above all, holistic care is at the core of everything we do. We support each child's wellbeing, ensuring they feel safe, valued and motivated. Our dedicated staff nurture confidence, kindness and curiosity, helping pupils grow into well-rounded individuals ready to take on the world.

Here's to a Fantastic 2026!
We look forward to seeing what our pupils achieve this year. With a vibrant House system, exciting sports, sustainability initiatives and an enriching SA programme, Wellington College International Hangzhou Primary is the perfect place for children to learn, grow and shine.
Welcome back – let's make 2026 our best year yet!
